Postage

In order to be fair and economical, we aim to charge you what it costs us to send the parcel. Delivery charges are based upon the estimated weight of your order and start at just £2.60. So if you order something small and light, you won't be subsidising the delivery cost for someone else's much heavier purchase.

You can see the delivery charge for your order at any time by placing an item in your shopping cart. The shipping cost for the entire cart will be shown at the bottom of the page. You do not need to register or log in to do this and can remove the item from your cart by clicking on the delete icon. The cheapest postage will be highlighted, but you are able to choose the method most suited to you.
The majority of UK orders are sent via Royal Mail and we offer a choice of Second Class, First Class and Special Delivery®. Due to the increase in the cost of sending parcels via Royal Mail we now offer an alternative service via Collect+. You can also choose to collect your order from our shop, in Eton.

Royal Mail Services

Royal Mail aim to deliver First Class Mail on the next working day (including Saturdays), and Second Class Mail within three working days. All methods may take longer during busy periods such as Christmas. Orders in excess of £20 will be sent using the Signed ForTM service.

Special Delivery Next Day parcels are guaranteed to be delivered by 1pm on the next working day (not including Saturdays). Other Special Delivery services are available for example Saturday deliveries and delivery before 9am. Please contact us if you would like to know the cost of using those services.

Collect+

Collect+ is a new parcel service, which typically delivers parcels within three to five working days. The service is tracked and you will be given a tracking code to monitor your parcel's progress. Parcels are delivered by the Yodel network. If you are out when the parcel is delivered Yodel will leave it somewhere safe, or with a neighbour. If neither is available a card will be left and the courier will keep the item for redelivery (which they will attempt twice).

Lead Time

In all cases please allow up to two working days for us to process your order but do contact us if it is urgent and we will do what we can to meet your deadline. We usually disptach the day after we receive the order, but are able to do so more quickly if we know the order is urgent. Cheese Wedding Cake orders will take longer. Picnics, cheeseboards and buffets can only be delivered to addresses in Eton or collected from our shop.

Packaging

We are committed to reducing, reusing and recycling packaging are far as possible. Items purchased from our online delicatessen will often be shipped in a used cardboard box. If you would prefer a crisp new box please leave a message in the comments section of your order. We will be happy to do this and will not charge for packaging.
