Postage
In order to be fair and economical, delivery charges are based upon the weight
of your order and start at just £1.80. You can see the delivery charge
for your order at any time by
clicking "estimate shipping" after you have placed an item in your cart.
You do not need to register or log in to do this.
The majority of UK orders are sent via Royal Mail and we offer a choice of:
- First Class Post.
- Standard Parcels Service.
- Special Delivery.
Royal Mail aim to deliver First Class post on the next working day, including Saturday.
For parcels weighing more than 1.25kg, Standard Parcel services is cheaper,
but slower, and takes approximately three to five working days. Both methods may take longer during
busy periods such as Christmas. Due to Royal Mail's new size limit on first class parcels, we may not be able to send bulky items by
first class post. If you have chosen first class post for a large parcel, we will contact you to discuss splitting the order into small parcels or using the standard parcels service.
Special Delivery parcels are guaranteed to be
delivered on the next working day. Please allow up to two working days for us to process your order
but do contact us if it is urgent and we will do what we can to meet your deadline.
The shopping cart will highlight the cheapest postage, but you are able to choose the method
most suited to you. The estimated shipping weight of your parcel is also shown on the cart.
If the total value of your order exceeds £32 the parcel will be insured (at no extra cost to you) and will need to be signed for on receipt.
Packaging
We are committed to reducing, reusing and recycling packaging are far as possible. Items purchased from our online delicatessen will often be shipped
in a used cardboard box. If you would prefer a crisp new box please leave a message in the comments section of
your order. We will be happy to do this and will not charge for packaging.
