A blend of cocoa liquors from Forestero-type cocoas from Ghana, the Ivory Coast and Nigeria which produces a chocolate with a rounded flavour, having the raisin and sultana notes typical of this region. This is a mellow, dark chocolate with a deep and comforting chocolate flavour.

Not all cocoa tastes the same - Like wine and coffee, the flavour of cocoa is influenced by the soil and region it is grown in.

Rather than buy cocoa products from multinational processors who have blended beans from many different origins to create a uniform taste, the Mortimer Chocolate Company find the best single origin cocoa beans and blend these with just a small amount of sugar. By creating a powder, not a bar, the chocolate is not over-processed, and dissolves easily when used in baking or to make hot chocolate.

This is the chocolate Felicity uses to make our homemade chocolate brownies. Use for baking or as a hot chocolate drink. It can also be used to make a vegan hot chocolate by mixing it with warmed non-dairy milk. You can find recipe inspiration on our pinterest board.
